Whereabouts of business person in Mahottari remains unknown



JALESHSWOR: The whereabouts of a business person in Mahottari district who has gone missing for five days still remains unknown.

Son of Brahmadev Shaha, 24-year-old Raju Shaha, of Jaleshwor Municipality-5 in the district went missing since Wednesday night, informed District Police Office’s DSP Prakash Bista.

Shah had been running a cloth shop at Matihani Municipality-8 in the district. He was returning home from the shop on Wednesday night.

He was riding a motorcycle and had to cross a jungle to reach home during which he went missing mysteriously.

Police found a key of his motorcycle and two slippers in the jungle the following day after his family complained of his missing status and launched search operation.

Police, in its preliminary investigation, has reached a conclusion that Shah could have been abducted while Shah’s family assumed that he might have been held hostage in bordering Indian area.

Police have been coordinating with the Indian side to find out missing Shah, it was shared.
