8 police officials diagnosed with COVID-19 in Chitwan



CHITWAN: As many as eight police personnel including DSP Surya Bahadur Thapa have tested positive for COVID-19 in Chitwan.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Nantiraj Gurung informed that all the infected policemen have been kept in an isolated room inside the office. He said they have no health problems.

DSP Thapa, who was diagnosed with the coronavirus infection, had fever and cough but no symptoms were seen in other police personnel.

Earlier, 26 policemen of Ward Police Office Narayangadh tested positve for pandemic virus.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases in Chitwan has exceeded 1,700.
