Truck-hit claims pedestrian in Rupandehi



RUPANDEHI: A pedestrian has died after being hit by a cargo truck at Buddhanagar in Sainamaina Municipality-5 in Rupandehi district.

The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Binod BK of Sainamaina-6, said Police Inspector of  Area Police Office, Saljhandi.

Critically injured BK who was rushed to Lumbini Provincial Hospital died in the course of treatment.

The cargo truck, Na 6 Kha 5702, heading to Dhangadhi from Birgunj had hit him on Friday morning.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the truck and the driver under control.
