Septuagenarian dies of COVID-19 in Chitwan



CHITWAN:  A COVID-19 infected person has died from coronavirus pandemic in Chitwan district on Friday morning.

A 71-year-old woman of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City-19 died in the course of treatment  at Chitwan Medical College at 6:50 am today.

A ccording to a press note issued by the hospital, the septuagenarian had been admitted to the hospital on August 23 after she complained of respiratory complications.

He had also been suffering from asthma and pneumonia.  She was being treated at Intensive Care Unit after she tested positive for the coronavirus.

Out of 42 coronavirus patients, 20 are undergoing treatment at ICU, currently, while three are being treated on a ventilator, said the hospital.
