COVID-19 kills 835,530, infects 24,622,014 across world

KATHMANDU: More than 24,600,000 people have been infected with coronavirus pandemic across the world.

With 262,746 infection cases in the last 24 hours, the number of infection cases has reached 24,622,014 until the filing of this report globally.

Out of those infected, 17,090,869 have recovered from the pandemic.

With 5,861 deaths in the last 24 hours, the numher of deaths from the coronavirus has reached 835,530 globally as of Friday morning.

Currently, 6,695,615 peope are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the world, of which 61,411 are critical.

As many as 206,596 people have died from coronavirus in Europe.

A total of 3,480,962 have been infected with the virus while 20,033,080 have returned home after recovery.

Similarly, 265,667 have died from coronavirus in North America. Accoring to Worldometer, 7,148,705 have been infected with the virus, of which 4,098,087 have recovered from the virus.

Asia has reported 136,551 deaths from the virus as of Friday morning. As many as 6,681,839 have been infected with the virus while 5,325,130 have recovered.

Likewise, 196,434 haved died from coronavirus in South America so far. As many as 6,039,916 have been infected with the coronavirus, of which 4,639,327 have recovered.

African countries have reported 28,910 deaths and 1,225,249 infection cases. Meanwhile, 957,854 have returned home after recovery.

Likewise, 600 have died and 27,914 have been infected with the coronavirus pandemic in Australia and Oceania. Meanwhile, 22,400 have recovered from the pandemic.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the coronavirus pandemic has spread to 113 countries including two international conveyances globally.
