One buried to death in Syangja landslide



SYANGJA: A man has died after being buried in a landslide at Sangliya of Galyang municipality-9 last night.

Yam Bahadur BK,50, died after his house was hit by a landslide, said ward no-9 chairperson Hari Lal Khanal. Seriously injured, BK died on the way to the hospital.

BK was living with his wife and three children in the house. His wife is undergoing treatment at Palpa mission hospital while the sons are safe. Locals said that BK could not be taken to the hospital on time after the road was blocked by trees fallen due to landslide on the dirt road.

A police team has been sent to the side, while the details of the incident are awaited, said Superintendent of Police of Syangja Bimal Raj Kandel. RSS
