Rs 3.22 billion allocated for Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada has said that Rs 3.22 billion has been allocated for the Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project.

He mentioned that the country will be self-sufficient in milk, vegetables and meat in the coming year and cultivation of spring paddy and spring maize will be encouraged.

He said that grants will be given to collective farming. He said that Rs 1 billion would be given to the local level for that.

He said that Rs 500 million has been allocated for food storage.
