MORANG: Committing a heinous crime a son has murdered his mother and latter killed himself in Budhabare of Belbari Municipality, Morang on Thursday.
Jeevan Limbu 31, of Belbari Budhbare has struck his 61 year old mother dead by striking her with a brick before killing himself with a knife.
According to Police Inspector Rishi Raj Dhakal of Area Police Office Belbari Jeevan had killed his 61 year old mother Devi Kumari Limbu by striking her with a brick.
“The preliminary investigation shows that the son had a row with his mother, when it got worse, he hit her dead with a brick,” Inspector Dhakal said, “after the incident the alleged committed suicide slashing his neck with a kitchen knife.”
The police had discovered the blood smeared dead body of mother at around 11 am.
The police have collected the blood smeared brick and the knife Jeevan used to commit suicide. Although the police rushed unconscious Jeevan to Belbari based Nobel Community Hospital,, the doctor declared him dead at about 12 PM.
According to Area Police Office Belbare, further investigation of the incident is going on.
