KATHMANDU: A wide-body plane of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is flying to China today evening to bring medical supplies from China.
The health materials have been procured by the Nepal Army (NA).
NA Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey informed that the wide-body plane will fly to Guangzhou to bring the materials to Nepal.
The place will return to Kathmandu with with around 28.66 tons medical supplies from Guangzhou on Thursday, according to Pandey.
The NA had earlier planned to bring some 47.5 tons of the 341 tons of health supplies from China by air and the rest by land.
The NA has already brought 18.84 tons on May 19.
It should be noted that the NA has signed an agreement worth NRs 2.25 billion with the China government-owned Sinopharm Group to procure 341 tons of medical equipment from China.
