Couple killed in mound collapse

JAJARKOT: Two people died after being trapped when a mound of sand collapsed on them while extracting sand for construction of a health post building in Jajarkot district.

They are husband and wife of Tatra, Nalgadh municipality-9 in the district.

The deceased have been identified as Kumari Singh, 33, and her husband 35-year-old Ekraj Singh.

The wife died on the spot while the husband died on the way to Nepalgunj for treatment, a local Nawaraj Rawat said.

Three people from the same locality have been injured in the incident and they are being treated at a local health post.
