COVID-19-infected Nepalis reach 71 in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Thirteen new infection cases were found in Nepali migrant worker in Malaysia. With the new cases, the number of Nepali migrant workers infected with the COVID-19 in the country has reached 71 as of Tuesday.

According to the Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, 58 Nepali people were infected with the Coronavirus earlier.

The newly infected are the security guards working in a security company based in Cheras.  Meanwhile, 13 Nepali people have recovered after treatment.

According to the Ministry of Health of Malaysia, a total of 7, 604 people have been infected with the novel virus.

Out of them, 115 have died from the novel virus. Currently, 1,448 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 6,041 have recovered after treatment.
