Narayani Hospital set to resume regular services

KATHMANDU: Narayani Hospital is making preparations to resume its regular services after 75 Coronavirus patients were discharged from the hospital.

The hospital has decided to resume regular services after discharging all the Coronavirus patients from the hospital, said Dr. Madan Upadhyaya, Medical Superintendent of the hospital.

A total of 43 Coronavirus patients including two-month-old infant to a septuagenarian were discharged on Monday.

“The hospital has no Coronavirus patients now. All of them have been discharged. Birgunj Metropolitan City has sanitized the hospital,” said Dr Upadhyaya.

The hospital has treated a total of 105 Coronavirus patients including from Parsa, Rautahat, Bara and Sarlahi.

Among those discharged included 11 males aged a two-month-old infant to 15 years while 15 were females.

Narayani Hospital alone treated 75 Coronavirus patients while the remaining patients were treated in separate isolation wards managed by the hospital.

Dr. Upadhyaya said the regular services will resume as soon as the direction comes from the Ministry of Health and Population.

On April 10, Narayani Hospital had first taken admission of three India returnees after they were diagnosed with Coronavirus.
