COVID-19: India cases reach 28,380; death toll at 886

NEW DELHI: India’s total count of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases has reached 28,380 and the death toll currently stands at 884, according to the Health Ministry data.

As many as 1,396 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, said Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, on Monday.

He said that a total of 381 people have recovered in the past day and the recovery rate now stands at 22.17 percent.
