Two dead bodies of Koreans missing in Nepal avalanche retrieved



KATHMANDU: A team of Nepal Army has recovered dead bodies of two Koreans missing in the avalanche.

The NA team deployed in a search and rescue operation for the missing people in the avalanche has retrieved the dead bodies.

Two dead bodies among seven travelers including four Koreans and three Nepali guides who had gone missing in the avalanche of Annapurna rural municipality-1, Hinku Cave area on January 17 have been recovered, said Nepal Army.

Earlier, Nepal Army had recovered dead bodies of two Nepali guides.

A search and rescue team deployed from Pokhara-based Second Ranger Battalion under the Special Force Brigade in coordination with the Western Division Headquarters found the dead bodies.

The dead bodies have been taken to Pokhara Academy of Health Science for postmortem.

The NA team has been continuing its search for the remaining missing people in the avalanche.
