Police in Nepal exhibit social distancing to arrest lockdown violators



KATHMANDU: Social distancing is one of the effective measures to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Nepal Police has now started exhibiting the measure to clamp down on lockdown violators.

The law enforcement agency has started arresting lockdown violators with equipment taking account of a possible risk of COVID-19 in physical contact.

Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari has brought such two equipment in use from Friday.

DSP Hobindra Bogati at Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu said that 50 persons were arrested with the help of the equipment on the fourth day of the weeklong lockdown on Friday.
