KATHMANDU: The government has issued new rules specifying standards to operate quarantine sites in a bid to control the infection of coronavirus.

The Council of Ministers on Friday released the standards stating basic requirements for the quarantine sites.

This will also include the ‘dos and don’ts’ for managers of the quarantine centers and workers.

The government has specified only one person in the quarantine center. Each one has to be allocated 75 square feet space and in case of multiple beds in one room, the government has provisioned a 3.5 feet between the two.

The government says that the quarantined people need to be provided four meals a day, including tea and breakfast in the morning, lunch, snacks and dinner.

Likewise, the people in quarantine will not be allowed to meet anyone during the period.
