JANAKPURDHAM: Dhanusha Police has arrested 11 people for their involvement in black marketeering of essential commodities taking advantage of the lockdown.

According to District Police Office, Dhansha, the arrested were found selling onion, potatoes, cooking gas and recharge cards unusually at high prices.

Police said they were found selling potatoes for Rs 80 against Rs 45 per kilogram and Rs 1,700 against Rs 1, 350 per cylinder of cooking gas.

Similarly, the price of green vegetables has also skyrocketed local market of late. Cauliflower costs Rs 50 per kilogram while green chili Rs 240 per kilogram. The price of other vegetables has also gone up at the same ratio.
