Thorough study ongoing on Baluwatar land scam: Minister Aryal

KATHMANDU: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal has said that the government was carrying out a deep study over the land scam of Lalita Niwas area, Baluwatar.

At a news conference organized by the Ministry to share the key achievements of the past two years, Minister Aryal said that the ministry was collecting minute evidence of the Baluwatar land scam so that there will be no such problem in the future.

In addition to the Ministry, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police are also conducting separate probes.

On the occasion, she said that the government has brought 2,829 square meters of land under its name from the individuals.

Minister Aryal also shared that the government was searching for different historical heritages, the land plots missing under Guthi operated for religious activities and other encroached land.
