KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party(NCP) rift that started with Prime Minister KP Oli’s decision to dissolve the parliament has come to the power-show of late.
NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha has claimed that the party will protest with one hundred thousand people in Kathmandu on December 29 against the unconstitutional and whimsical decision of Prime Minister KP Oli.
Spokesperson Shrestha informed that the decision was made at a meeting of the party’s Secretariat on Sunday.
“We are preparing to take at least one lakh people to the streets of Kathmandu against the unconstitutional and undemocratic move of the PM,” Shreshtha told reporters.
The Secretariat meeting was held at NCP’s office at Parisd Danda. The meeting was attended by NCP chairmen Puspa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal and spokesperson Shrestha.
Prachanda-Nepal faction of NCP is organizing district level gatherings in all 77 districts on Sunday.
