Gulmi jeep mishap: Five killed identified



TAMGHAS:  Five people have died in a jeep accident that occurred in Ishma rural municipality of Gulmi district on Friday morning.

According to District Police Office, Gulmi, 65-year-old Dammar Bahadur Hitan, Shiva Bahadur Darlami, 33, Basanta Darlami, 30, Dhan Bahadur Achhami, 33, of  Ishma rural municipality-4 and 80-year-old Sundari Thapa of Malika 5, have died in the accident.

Three other people have sustained injuries in the accident. The injured are 19-year-old Parshuram Thapa, Saraswati Darlami, 28, and Kamal Dhitang, 26, of Ishma-4.

They are undergoing treatment at Tamghas District Hospital, said SP Prabin Lal Shrestha of DPO, Gulmi.

The accident took place when, an ill-fated jeep, Lu 1 Ja 1166, en-route to the district headquarters Tamghas from Ishma rural municipality-4, Hula met with an accident this morning.
