New mother airlifted to safety



BAGLUNG: A new mother who experienced complications after delivery was airlifted to safety.

Puspa Sris, 38, of Ranasingh Kiteni, Badigad rural municipality had to be airlifted after her situation worsened due to excessive bleeding.

She had reportedly given birth at home and was taken to the Burtibang primary health center for treatment. She was however referred to a more equipped health center.

Puspa was airlifted to the Gandaki hospital in Pokhara in coordination with the Gandaki State Ministry of Social Development.

Though the newborn could not be saved, the health condition of the mother is improving, according to the hospital sources. Puspa and her husband Iman Singh both work as teachers.
