Malla reappointed goalkeeper coach of national team

KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has reassigned Bikash Malla the task of training the goalkeeper.

The national football governing body has assigned Malla the task of training the goalkeeper for the international friendly match with Bangladesh.

Earlier, Malla was appointed as the goalkeeper coach for the matches meant for world cup qualifiers.

ANFA had appointed Malla on August 4 to start close training sessions from August 17, but after the games scheduled for October-November got postponed till 2021, the training was postponed as well.

According to Madhu Sudan Upadhyaya, the manager of the national football team (Men), Malla will continue working as the goalkeeper coach for the national team for the friendly match with Bangladesh and then after.

Upadhyaya informed that Kiran Shrestha will continue as the assistant coach of the national team.

He informed that the person to execute duty as a national coach of the national team will be found out soon.

The post of a national coach is lying vacant since Johan Colin, the Swedish coach returned home.
