China-Pak nexus: ISI smuggling China-made arms into India

NEW DELHI: China has reportedly gifted hexacopters and T-97 NSR rifles to Pakistan in a bid to secure the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

According to the Sunday Guardian Live report, the ISI-backed groups are using the hexacopter drones to smuggle assault rifles made by Norinco, which is China’s state-owned defense corporation, into Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the report, China is helping ISI smuggle arms in India.

The report has also quoted a senior Indian intelligence officer saying that the nexus between Pakistan and China in arming terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir is becoming more evident with every passing day.

The officer said that the evidence that they have of Chinese ‘goods’ being used to spread terror in India are numerous.

Meanwhile, the ISI is also said to have devised an act of sending terrorists and the weapons separately across the LOC, over Indian Armed Forces’ reported practice of not shooting unarmed intruders, the report said.

It may be noted that terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir have drastically reduced in the last one year after the special status of the region was repealed.

It has also been learned that China is aiding Pakistan to create an influx of arms in J&K to help terrorists.

As many as 15 instances have come to the fore since January when Indian security forces have recovered made-in-China weapons.
