126 people killed in monsoon disasters in Gandaki Province



POKHARA: One hundred twenty-six people were killed and 23 others missing in various natural disasters related to the monsoon in Gandaki Province until September 25, it has been said.

Eighty-nine people were injured in the disasters and property losses occurred. Baglung district recorded the highest death toll of 36. The Province has a total of 10 districts.

Six thousand seven hundred seventy-three people of 1615 families of all districts of the Province have been displaced by monsoon disasters with the highest 3,125 people of 717 households in Myagdi district and 970 households are at risk.
