CPL 2020: Jamaica Tallawahs loses to Barbados by 36 runs

KATHMANDU: Sandeep Lamichhane’s team Jamaica Tallawahs lost to Barbados by 36 runs in the fifth match of the Caribbean Premier League on Thursday.

Chasing a 149-run target set for it by Barbados, Jamaica Tallawahs could notch up only 112 runs in 20 overs losing nine wickets.

NE Bonner bagged 31 runs, J Blackwood scored 28 runs and Mujeeb Ur Rahman contributed 18 runs while the other batsmen could not achieve any significant runs.

Barbados’ spinners Rashid Khan and MJ Santner took two wickets each of Jamaica while  JO Holder, Rashid Khan, RA Reifer shared two wickets each.

Jamaica had made only 27 runs when it lost four wickets. Opener GD Phillips was bowled out by MJ Santner in first over while CAK Walton out for 10 runs.
