Gandaki Province’s tally hits 854 with 16 new cases



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 16 more people in Gandaki Province on Saturday evening.

A test conducted at the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences and the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu confirmed the new cases.

According to Director of Gandaki Province Health Directorate Dr. Binod Bindu Sharma, five of the newly infected people are from Syangja, six from Nawalparasi (east Susta) and five from Kaski.

Preparations are underway to take the infected to the isolation room in the concerned district.

Along with this, the number of infected people in Gandaki has reached 854. So far, two people have lost their lives due to coronavirus in the province.
