8-month pregnant recovers from COVID-19



ACCHAM: A 25-year old pregnant woman of Chaurpati Rural Municipality-5, has recovered from COVID-19.

The eight-month pregnant was airlifted to Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur after her stomach started to swell.

She had gone intestinal surgery at Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur on June 8, where she was also identified with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

The surgery was performed on the same day.

In the last two Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests, the patient tested negative for the virus.

“She has been shifted to normal ward after recovering from the virus infection. However, her post-surgery treatment is going on,” said her husband, The Rising Nepal reported.
