9 dragged to court for transferring govt land to individual

KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case at the Special Court against nine persons including the Chief of Land Revenue, Diktel for transferring government land in the name of a person.

The commission on Tuesday filed a case against the then Land Revenue Chief Yadunath Dahal, employees and locals.

According to CIAA Spokesperson Pradeep Koirala, it was revealed through an investigation that the government lands plot number 137 and 815 of the then Diktel VDC-6 have been transferred in the name of a person in collusion with the employees.

The commission has filed cases against Survey Office Chief Siakant Chaudhary, the then Land Revenue Office Chief Dahal, Land Revenue Officer Cuttack Bahadur Khatri and Nayab Subba Bhim Bahadur Khatri.

Similarly, the commission has filed cases against Kharidar Tek Bahadur Khadka, petitioner Gajendra Kumar Thapa of Diktel VDC-6, another petitioner Ram Bahadur Thapa, the then Survey Officer Ganesh Kumar Khidhari, the then Nayab Subba Chandra Bahadur Karki of the Land Revenue Office and employees Bhim Bahadur Khatri, Tek Bahadur Khadka and Chandra Bahadur Karki of Land Revenue Office.
