Five new COVID-19 cases reported in Siraha

SIRAHA: Five new cases of coronavirus has been confirmed in Siraha district.

District Health Office, Siraha says four people from Bhagwanpur Rural Municipality and one from Nawarajpur Rural Municipality have tested positive for COVID-19 at the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu.

All the five had returned from Gudgaun of India on May 14, and were staying at a quarantine facility in the rural municipality.

The swab samples were collected on May 18.

With the confirmation, they were taken to a hospital established at Mahendra Genai Hospital in Dhangadhimai Municipality.

With the recent five cases, the number of coronavirus cases in Siraha of Province -2 has reached six.

The Province 2 has reported a total of 240 cases of coronavirus so far.
