12 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Surkhet



KATHMANDU: A total of 12 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Surkhet Tuesday morning.

With this, the total number of cases in the province has reached 23, according to the Social Development Ministry, Karnali Province.

Meanwhile, a total of 112 persons have recovered and been discharged throughout the country.

Nepal has performed 51,642 sample tests through the PCR method so far.

Similarly, 2,904 sample tests have been performed through the PCR method and 5,166 samples test performed though the RDT method in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

Spokesperson Dr. Devkota added that presently altogether 46, 029 people are in quarantines in the country.

The number of infection cases has reached 682 in the country as of Monday, of which 112 people recovered and four have died from the deadly virus.

In the Province 5, Sudurpachim, Karnali province respectively have a large number of people living in quarantine.
