Digital mapping of Changunarayan Municipality through drone

BHAKTAPUR: Changunarayan municipality has initiated a survey of the municipality through drone to create a digital map of the municipality.

Municipality Mayor Som Prasad Mishra said a drone would be flown in the next two weeks to capture the municipality’s geographical pictures.

Various organizations, including the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, have supported for the project.

The Changunarayan Municipality has also initiated a test survey through drones as part of creating a digital map of the Valley, Mishra said.

The drones have been fitted with two sophisticated cameras, according to him.

The municipality spanning 62.98 square kilometers have more than 12,000 households.
