China saw 7 imported coronavirus cases from Pakistan

GUANGZHOU: The Chinese city of Guangzhou city saw the fifth confirmed case of new coronavirus disease imported from Pakistan, bringing the toll to seven.

According to reports, the fifth patient, 53, had visited to Pakistan recently.

Reports said he had the same travel trajectory of flights with other four confirmed cases of coronavirus imported from Pakistan reported in Guangzhou.

The patient, on March 20, took off for Islamabad to Bangkok of Thailand. He then transferred to another flight.

And on March 21, the person arrived at China’s Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. He was then screened for coronavirus, and sent to a quarantine point for medical observation.

On the next day on March 22, the person’s result was negative. However, on March 23, his test turned positive for the novel coronavirus.
