KATHMANDU: The Nepali Janasamparka Samiti, a well-wisher organization of the Nepali Congress has provided Rs 135,441 to the National Invention Center (NIC).
The fund was collected and by the Samiti’s branches in Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Nepali Congress Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma contributed Rs 10,000 from his side and handed over the amount to NIC chief Mahaveer Pun on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Sharma said he was pleased to hand over to the Center the monetary assistance collected by the Nepalis working in the Gulf countries.
Center’s chief Pun expressed gratitude to the Nepalis for providing the assistance to the NIC despite the risk of coronavirus.
He said the Center would progress only with the cooperation of all the Nepalis.
