Tanker drivers halt Aviation Turbine Fuel delivery

KATHMANDU: Tanker drivers have halted loading and unloading of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) protesting a decision by Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) to fine them for leakage.

The state-owned oil monopoly had decided to fine the concerned driver double if the leakage is found to be more than 50 liters in the course of delivery.

They have halted the delivery from Saturday demanding that the fine should be minimal.

The strike will be hit the supply of the fuel at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and other airports.
