TOKYO: The annual Symposium of Asian Solidarity Council for Democracy and Freedom was held on November 18, at Parliament Building, Tokyo.
It was addressed among others by Chairman Hideaki Kase, Chairman.
He spoke about the need to work even harder to challenge the threat from China and expressed concern over fear that US President-elect Joe Biden might be softer on China, Times of India reported.
Shigeharu Aoyama, MP of ruling Liberal Democratic Party said that more and more politicians were concerned about China’s violation of human rights and its aggressive ambitions. He mentioned that about 60 more members of Parliament had expressed desire to join Japan Parliamentary Alliance against China.
Akiko Kamei, MP of the opposition Constitutional Democratic Party talked about her attempt to introduce legislations condemning human rights violations by China in her capacity as Chairperson of International Affairs Bureau of her party.
In keynote address by Hei SEKI, Chinese dissident criticised CCP and described Xi Jinping as more dangerous than Nazis and Hitler. He also noted that recent arrogant acts including India-China border face off, South China Sea, Senkaku Islands and Taiwan moves point to China becoming economically and militarily stronger than ever before.
He pointed out that countries including UK, Germany, France, Canada and Australia, once friends of China were now critical of that country.
