Founder Director of Teaching Hospital Prasain passes away



KATHMANDU: Founder Director of TU Teaching Hospital Bishma Raj Prasain has passed away. He was 89.

Prasain who was admitted to Mediciti Hospital on November 13 after he complained of cardiac complications breathed his last in the course of treatment on Wednesday evening.

Prasain is regarded as the pathfinder and the promoter of medical colleges in Nepal.

He had been the Founder Executive Director of TU Teaching Hospital, Dean at the Institute of Medicine, Registrar of TU and the member of the Rajparishad.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one son.
