Elderly person shot dead



PYUTHAN: An elderly person was shot dead when a gunman opened fire to chase away monkeys in Pyuthan district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Dal Bahadur Sunar, 71, of Naubaini rural municipality-5, said police, said police.

The incident took place when Hemlal Sunar, 34, of the same place opened fire to chase monkeys.

Police have arrested Hemlal, said Chief of the District Police Office, Pyuthan, Sunil Malla.
