NA opens track of trail to Kalapani region

DARCHULA: Nepal Army (NA) has opened the horse trail track in the rocky mountain part that lies in Chhangru- Tinkar Khalanga sector in Ghantibagar area making transportation from Chhangru and Tinker to Khalanga more convenient.

According to Brigadier General Santosh Ballav Poudel, the Spokesperson of Nepal Army, the task of opening the track in the Ghantibagar area assigned to NA is already over, and the opening of the trail would make the transportation in Chhangru and Tinker area much more accessible.

“The task of opening the track in the steep rocky mountain is over,” NA Spokesperson Paudel said, “and the cleaning of the debris will be completed in a couple of days.”

After being assigned the task of opening the track in the area, NA had initiated the work on May 22.

The transportation of the goods and supplies for the inhabitants of Chhangru and Tinker area of Byas Rural Municipality had become very difficult after the foot trails they have been using had been obstructed in many ways when India carried out the construction of the road before.

The newly opened track is 550 meters long.
