Palpa landslide: Five bodies retrieved

KATHMANDU: All the five bodies of those missing in the landslide of Rambha rural municipality, Phoksingkot have been retrieved in Palpa district.

According to District Police Office, Palpa, the bodies of 60-year-old Hum Bahadur Gaha, his wife 50-year-old Dhanisara Gaha, 17-year-old Krishna Maya Gaha, granddauthers – Khumisara Ale, 14, Laxmi Gaha, 8, have been retrieved.

Five of the same family had gone missing after the landslide washed away their house on Thursday morning.

Their bodies were recovered on Friday evening.

Similarly, 27-year-old Motisara Gaha of Rambha rural municipality-2 had died after the landslide buried her house. She was a expectant mother.
