11 inmates confirmed COVID-19 positive in Jhapa



JHAPA: A total of 11 inmates have tested positive for COVID-19 in the district.

According to Health Office Pandemics program coordinator Jeevan Chaulagain, after a jailbird was tested COVID-19 positive on his PCR test, ten others were tested, resulting in positive cases.

The infected are admitted to Mechi Hospital for treatment. With this, the number of total infected persons in the district reached 836.

Similarly, 757 persons have returned home after complete health recovery in the district.

According to the sources, 73 are active cases in the district till Friday. Six infected ones have died of the infection in the district so far.
