Man arrested from Budhanilkantha-13 for slaughtering cow



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man on charge of slaughtering a cow, Nepal’s national animal, from Chunikhel of Budhanilkantha Municipality-13.

Police arrested Chhenduk Bhote, 32, from Sankhuwasabha Bhotkhola rural municipality-3 on Wednesday morning on the charge of slaughtering a cow.

A police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Division, Kapan has taken him under control. Police said that further investigation is underway.

Locals had informed the police after they came to know that Chhenduk was slaughtering a cow and throwing it in the river at Chyanikhel in Budhanilkantha Municipality.
