11 more COVID-19 deaths recorded in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepal has reported 11 more coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours.

According to Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, the country witnessed 11 more deaths taking the total death toll in Nepal to 175.

Among the 11 victims, two are women including a 46-year-old from Morang and a 53-year-old from Bhaktapur.

Likewise, male victims include three from Mahottari district, two each from Kailali and Bara, and one each from Kathmandu and Banke.

Meanwhile, the country saw as many as 885 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours on Wednesday.

According to Dr Gautam these cases were identified while conducting PCR test on 13,253 persons at different laboratories across the country.

With this, the national tally of coronavirus cases has jumped to 34,418.
