Sandeep plays in style leading his team Jamaica Tallawahs to a win



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane played in style in today’s match against Guyana Amazon Warriors under Caribbean Premier League at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago.

The right-arm leg spin bowler, who is playing for Jamaica Tallawahs, took a wicket for four overs conceding only 12 runs. With this, he claimed five wickets in four matches earlier.

In the10th over, Lamichhane conceded only three runs. In the 12th over, he dismissed Sherfane Rutherford giving four runs. Rutherford hit only one run.

Invited into bat first after losing the toss, Guyana Amazon Warriors made 108 runs in the allotted 20 overs at the loss of nine wickets. Jamaica Tallawahs achieved the 109-run target in 18 overs losing five wickets.

With this win, Sandeep’s team Jamaica Tallawahs is placed in the fourth position with four points.

The team has won two matches and lost two matches. Guyana Amazon Warriors is put in the third place with four points.
