4 including 3 police test coronavirus positive in Paanchthar



PHIDIM: Four people including 3 policemen have tested coronavirus positive in Paanchthar on Wednesday.

According to Narad Subedi, the Chief of District Public Health Office, Paanchthar, 3 policemen working in District Police Office Paanchthar and a 55-year-old India-returnee male have tested coroanvirus positive.

He informed that the India returnee male had spent some time in a Phidim-based quarantine facility before he tested for coronavirus positive on Tuesday evening.

According to District Police Office sources, 46 swabs of the policemen in district office were collected on August 21 after a police constable transferred there from Biratnagar was detected coronavirus positive on August 20.

Out of 46 swabs collected from the District Police office, 3 were found coronavirus positive when the report came.

They are undergoing treatment in Phidim based isolation center.

With this Paanchthar has seen 13 cases of coronavirus out of which 5 have returned home after recovery.
