Kathmandu sees 8 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s capital Kathmandu has reported 8 more coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.

According to Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, the spokesperson of  Ministry of Health and Population, 8 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Kathmandu.

Speaking at the regular press briefing on Sunday, Dr. Gautam informed that 2 samples in National Public Health Laboratory Teku, and 3 each in Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Teku, and Star Hospital Sanepa had tested positive.

According to Ministry sources, the contact tracing of the new cases has already been initiated.

Nepal saw 130 new cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours which has made the COVID-19 case tally in the country 18,613 till date.
