MAKWANPUR: One person died and another was injured in a road accident involving a truck at Makwanpur this morning.
Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, who was riding the truck (Na. 4 Kha. 704), was injured while his 20-year-old son Raj traveling with him died.
The accident took place at a place called Kharanga in Manahari municipality-9 of the district, on the East-West highway. The truck fell some 30 feet below the road, police said.
The truck was carrying corn from Bara and heading toward Chitwan when the accident took place.
Injured Chaudhary has been rushed to the hospital for treatment, while an investigation is underway, police said.
