COVID-19: Sudurpaschim Province reports 219 new cases in a single day



KAILALI: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 219 people in Sudurpaschim Province on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, PCR tests at the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu, Dhangadhi-based laboratory and Chitwan-based laboratory confirmed the infection in 219 more people.

According to the ministry, 71 people from Doti, 43 from Kanchanpur, 38 from Kailali, 27 each from Bajura and Baitadi, nine from Bajhang, three from Darchula and one from Achham have been confirmed to have been infected with coronavirus today.

With this, total cases in the province have reached 1,886. Five of the infected have died and 244 people have been discharged from various hospitals so far.
