Three die in accident



KATHMANDU: Three persons died in a road accident at Kanepokhari of Morang district along the East-West Highway last night.

A Scorpio jeep hit three persons — two men on a motorbike and a pedestrian – last night, DSP Dili Giri of Pathari Area Police Office said.

The vehicle — Ba 14 Cha 9643 – heading towards Itahari from Damak of Jhapa hit the bike — Me 10 Pa 2756 — head-on.

The deceased have been identified as Gajendra Bahadur Gurung from Panchthar, and Lokendra Bahadur Limbu from Jhapa, police said.

The woman, who died on the spot, is yet to be identified.

Police said while Gurung died while undergoing treatment at Nobel Medical College, Limbu died while being taken to the hospital.

The jeep driver, Mahendra Bahadur Thapa from Itahari has been arrested for investigation.
