18 dead bodies arriving from Malaysia today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal government is bringing 18 dead bodies of Nepali people from Malaysia on Friday.

The bodies which were stranded due to coronavirus-induced lockdown are being brought in coordination with Foreign Employment Board and Nepali Embassy in Malaysia via a chartered flight

According to Foreign Employment Board, the bodies of Balaram Thakur of Siraha, Bir Bahadur Kami of Jajarkot, Bipin Mahara of Dhanusha, Raja Ram Chaudhary of Bara, Prem BK of Salyan, Jagat Bahadur Rai and Surendra Prasad Subba of Panchthar, Bijaya Bohara of Rolpa.

Similarly, those bodies being airlifted today include Padam Bahadur Saru of Ilam, Shiva Pun Magar of Baglung, Punarbasi Puri of Nawalparasi, Dipak Bhattarai of Nuwakot, Bharosi Yadav of Mahottari, Dukhi Lal Mandal Khan and Manoj Kumar Yadav of Mahottari, Prabesh Kumar Khatwe of Bara and Kubiram Oli of Rukum.

Earlier, 11 bodies were brought from Malaysia.

Similarly, 16 bodies will be brought from Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

These bodies were stranded due to ban on international flights imposed by the respective countries to stem coronavirus spread.
