Active monsoon for another three days: Dept of Meteorology



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology says the country will witness active monsoon for the next three days.

According to the Department, rainfall will occur mostly during night time in most of the places in the country.

The Department has urged general public to adopt necessary precautions as the rains will continue for another three to four days.

The Department has urged people of the Chure region to remain careful as the region is prone to lightning during this period.

It has also warned of higher risk of water-induced calamities as well as floods and landslides.

Meanwhile, the Department has advised to take precaution as the monsoon rains might induce floods and landslides in various parts of the country and affect land and air transport services.
